DEPARTMENT of : Education (DOE) | Developmental Services (DDS) | Health and Human Service (HHS):

Serving as an IDEA Partner, Clerc's Children works with family resource centers, school districts and state schools for the deaf in contributing to the solution of current low national reading and writing scores of DHH high school graduates. By starting language services at home with a set curriculum and convenient tools, the curriculum enable parents and PIP teachers to develop Dual Language Pre-K Readiness among DHH infants & toddlers, thus maximizing their access to education from the beginning.

Application of Dual Language Approach:

Following the successful model of dual language pedagogy, Clerc's Children applies this two-way immersion approach in Communication Education Program starting at birth. Grounded in evidence from research and innovative practice, parents and teachers are supported through Clerc's Children's Daily Education Program: lessons spoken & signed by native signers, animation to teach English & literacy, games, assessments and more. This approach extends for five years and aims for bilingualism and biliteracy, by the age of five.
